  Larry Short

Larry was a key employee of the Clingan organization and was born in Lawton, Oklahoma.

He has been in the tire business since 1998, and previous to that he has worked as a service manager and then became the general manager of the mechanics division for Clingan Tire.  Larry began his career working as a mechanic for a company near his home town.  In 1982, Larry decided to open his own mechanic business, Larry’s Automotive, located in Chickasha, Oklahoma.  He owned and operated Larry’s Automotive with five mechanics and a shop foreman, for 16 years, and has a firm customer base in five states.  Larry was then asked to lease out some of his property, he did so and built a new building for himself.  The expansion was from a 30x60 foot building to a 50x100 foot building.  In 1998, Larry decided due to change in his life and a major surgery to move to Kansas and work for his brother who at the time was a manager at Perry Tire Company.

During the time that Larry lived in Oklahoma and operated Larry’s Automotive, he attended many innovative training courses.  Through AC Delco, Larry trained in Oklahoma City, and attended The Fundamentals of Closed Loop Computer Analysis, GM’s Advanced Course on Computer Commands, Cadillac Northstar Fuel Injection Course, Cadillac Computer Ignitions, H E I Course on ignition systems, and another course on distributors.  Later through Mitchell Engineering, he took the Ford Computer Diagnostic Course, the Chevrolet Computer Diagnostic Course, and the Chrysler Computer Diagnostic Course.   Larry also attended two courses in Orlando, Florida at the Josam Training Center, over alignment.

What will make us different from the others, our equipment will!  State of the art alignment machine that can align an axle to one hundredth of an inch.    This state-of-the-art Laser Alignment Machine which was developed in Sweden.  Currently, one man operating this machine can align four trucks a day.  This machine can take measurements within one-hundredth of an inch.  This machine is different from all the rest because it is simple to hook up, to read, and it can be hooked up to the rear axle, take the readings, the axle be torn down, the machine hooked back up and provide the exact same readings.  In other words this machine is consistent.   The Josam Laser Alignment Machine revolutionized the alignment industry.  Now we have the technology to improve upon our best.  This technology sells itself.
